Innovative Branding and Hard-Hitting Journalism

I began my career covering drug abuse in Mumbai and then the anti-corruption movement in India. Later, I joined iGTB, a company that makes core applications for banks around the world, as a marketing executive. I rebranded its collateral for SIBOS - one of the biggest events in the banking calendar.

This page contains some of my best work, both as a marketing executive and as a journalist.

iGTB - SIBOS Campaign Branding

iGTB's 2018 SIBOS campaign encompassed print collateral, website content, social media posts, banner ads and videos. We rewrote all the existing content and effected a minimalist redesign of all the marketing materials. Below are two brochures from the campaign. The print collateral formed the basis for all other content.

DTB — Digital Transaction Banking

One of the primary concerns for big banks is digital transformation - the process of overhauling and updating operations software according to modern standards. The brochure below discusses the problems in effecting such a transformation, and how iGTB's all-in-one solution makes it easy.

TSC - Trade and Supply Chain

iGTB's solutions cater to large banks that fund corporations. Our marketing campaign had to appeal both to banks and to their biggest customers, and we structured our content with 'twin' sections, one meant for banks, and the other for the banks' clients. The brochure below is one of the many 'twin-page' decks prepared for SIBOS and deals with trade finance and supply chain financing. You can find more brochures with 'twin' pages here.

Reportage on the Indian Anti-Corruption Movement

A few months after I joined the digital daily Scroll in 2013, India's anti-corruption movement scored its first political victory, with the Aam Aadmi Party winning the state elections in the national capital New Delhi. I interviewed activists, civil servants and whistleblowers as part of Scroll's campaign on corruption in India.

Reportage on Drug Abuse in Mumbai, India

Weeks after I joined the Hindustan Times, a series of drug busts on rave parties raised concerns about drug abuse in Mumbai. I interviewed rehab clinicians, at-risk youth and police officials to write a four-part series on the city's growing drug problem. Below are two of the articles in the series; for more, see here.
